Dallas Mount RFP Instructor

Dallas Mount is the owner of Ranch Management Consultants (RMC) home of the Ranching for Profit School and the Executive Link program. Dallas has led RMC since 2019 and worked with hundreds of ranchers across the US, Canada and Australia to position their business for economic profit and ecologic health. After working with University of Wyoming Extension for 18 years, Dallas started teaching the Ranching For Profit School in 2012 and quickly established himself as an elite instructor. Dallas holds a BS and MS from Colorado State University and has spent time working in cow-calf, feedlot, yearling, haying and grazing operations. Dallas, his wife Dixie, own and manage a grazing operation near Wheatland, WY. RMC is focused on creating profitable businesses, with healthy land and happy families.


Caitlin Word RFP Instructor

Caitlin Word serves as the content and delivery coordinator for RMC. Caitlin grew up on large-scale cow/calf ranches in west Texas and southeastern New Mexico before completing a bachelor’s degree from West Texas A&M University, followed by a master’s degree in ruminant nutrition from New Mexico State University. After graduation, Caitlin worked at Noble Research Institute for 6 years as a grazing livestock and regenerative ranching advisor. There, she consulted ranchers on livestock, grazing, and general ranch management through the lens of reducing reliance on inputs and creating resiliency within their operations. She has a passion for both learning and teaching, having completed Understanding Ag, Soil Health Academy, HMI, and Savory trainings, in addition to completing the KRIRM Texas Farm Credit Advanced Ranch Management certificate. Caitlin and husband Kenny reside in south-central Oklahoma with their son, Lucas, and enjoy spending their free time hunting with their dogs, on the lake or the coast, or frequenting the show barn.

The hotel and lodging costs are separate and vary from location to location.
You do not need to stay at the hotel where the school is being held but we recommend that even if participants live nearby, they stay at the venue so that they can participate in the informal after-hours discussions.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Cancellation of a registration does not affect a registrant’s financial liability. The deposit is non-refundable, but is 100% transferable toward any school held within 13 months of the school in which you originally enrolled.

  • Persons that have attended the RFP School in the past. Full amount of $1,000 ($1,300 after 9/10/25) per person is due at time of registration.

    Large Grazing & or Stockflow Charts

    3'X5' Laminated Grazing and or Stockflow Charts - use to plan grazing and flow of livestock and record actuals. Graduates of the school find these both to be extremely useful in planning and communication.

    Healthy Lands, Happy Families, Profitable Businesses

    Dave Pratt's first book and still a favorite. According to Stan Parsons, Healthy Land, Happy Families and Profitable Businesses, is “the best book ever written about ranching.” Joel Salatin calls Dave Pratt’s collection of essays, “a delightful, wisdom-dense read.” It is a terrific introduction to Ranching For Profit principles and a great refresher for RFP graduates.

Terms of Service:
The Services are for your private use only, with no transfer of title. You may not modify, copy, distribute, transmit, display, perform, reproduce, publish, license, create derivative works from, transfer, sell, or make any other non-private use of any of the content obtained from the Services.

RFP instructors have the authority to expel students who interfere with the learning of others.

Cancellation Policy:
When enrolling in the school, a $500 non-refundable deposit for first time RFP participants and $1,000 tuition for repeating participants is due at time of enrolling. If you decide you wish to enroll in an RFP school different from the one you originally enrolled for, the $500 deposit or $1,000 tuition can be transferred to any RFP school within 13 months of the original school. After 13 months, or if you cancel your school attendance seven days from the start of the school, the total deposit/tuition is forfeited.

The balance of the tuition is due 2 weeks prior to the start of the school. If, during the 13-month transfer period, tuition for the school increases before you re-enroll in the school you will be billed for the difference between what you paid and the new tuition. If you don’t want to pay the higher tuition, all but the deposit will be refunded.

Retained funds can only be applied to schools hosted by Ranch Management Consultants. Schools hosted by partnering entities are not eligible for use of retained funds.

Refund Policy:
RMC offers a money-back guarantee for the Ranching For Profit School. If someone attending the school is dissatisfied with the value, they can receive a full refund, including their deposit. To receive the refund they must:
1. Make the request within 6 days after the last day of the school.
2. Have attended at least the first 5 days of the school.
3. Have expressed dissatisfaction to the instructor at the school.
4. Communicate to RMC in writing why they believe the school failed to deliver value.
